Spring Heating and Cooling (and shout to Lowry)
With spring air hovering on the horizon and a busy time approaching for AvaAir, I am reminded of how absolutely grateful I am to have a fantastic team in place to serve our clients day in and day out. Any time I visit a local
business or restaurant, I take the time to observe their staff. When the team is welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind with a genuine drive to help the customer, that speaks volumes about the place of business. And, that is what I strive to accomplish with AvaAir Heating & Cooling — after all, it’snamed after my daughter.
Thus, I’d like to take a moment to show some appreciation for one of our greatest assets on our team — Chris Lowry. Because we both share the same first name, we are trying to get our customers used to referring to him as “Lowry.” It can get very confusing with two guys named Chris working at your home. It’s his third year with us, and he has become my rock in this industry.
Lowry is a Marine combat veteran who worked in the oil fields after getting out of the service. Following his work in the oil industry, he became a Highway Emergency Response Operator (HERO) in metro Atlanta assisting in traffic-related incidents up and down the interstate. Although Lowry may not remember it because he had helped so many people out, he assisted me when I broke down on the side of I-75 a few years ago. Ironicallyenough, he ended up attending the trade school where I teach heating andair, and I took him on as a team member here at AvaAir.
Lowry is meticulous in his work and extremely conscientious. He is customer-focused and is an awesome dad at home to his boys. Our position can be extremely stressful at times, but he stays cool, calm, and collected at all times. I am very proud and lucky to have him on board. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting him, I hope that at some
point you will because he has a way of lighting up the room and is very good at what he does.
Also, I’d like to mention that at this time of year, as we start to branch off into spring and get ready for a seasonal change, many other companies are rushing around like chickens with their heads cut off to get summer checkups
done on everyone’s systems. However, with temperatures still on the cooler side, it is not time to truly check on your system. Holding off until it gets a little warmer will benefit both you and your system! In the meantime, change
your filters just like you brush your teeth. It’s that important!
As always, I appreciate every single one of you!
